History

Padel as a sport was invented in 1969 in the Mexican west beach resort of Acapulco. The founder, a rich business man, who at home, didn't have enough space to put in  a tennis court, so he created a court that was 10 by 20 meters in size and surrounded by 3-4 meter high walls.
